Marianne Edwards is a creative designer and artist from Sydney. Her philosophy on art is that it should be simple and approachable.
Never being satisfied doing only one thing, her work is a mix of graphic design, illustration, digital art, and handmade accessories. While her time studying Digital Media at the College of Fine Arts enabled her to develop her own unique style in digital art and design, she also discovered the joy of knitting and sewing as a way to balance her creativity on and off the computer. And now she can't stop!
Her favourite things are colour, sewing, creating, designing, buttons, roses, and her yellow canary named Chip.

biography
Marianne's philosophy on art is that it should be simple and approachable. Born in 1988, Marianne grew up in a small-ish town on the mid north coast of NSW. A country girl at heart, her work is largely influenced by nature and imagination. The digital medium allows her to push the boundaries of reality and emphasise the colours that nature provides.
While her time studying Digital Media at the College of Fine Arts enabled her to develop her own unique style in digital art and design, she also discovered the joy of knitting and sewing as a way to balance her creativity on and off the computer. A mix of graphic design, illustration, photographic composites and handmade crafts, her work is playful, colourful and simple.
notable achievements
2009 - graduated with honours in Bachelor of Digital Media, through the College of Fine Arts, UNSW.
2009 - finalist in stART Student Art competition, with her entry "Tree Creatures", which was printed and sold as greeting cards throughout Co-op Bookshop stores.
2011 - released a range of wall sticker designs with The Wall Sticker Company as a guest designer.
